In fact, in just the season before birthing her business she was a journalist reporting on poverty and conflict in Uganda. Liz traces her journey from journalist to farmer to social entrepreneur and shares with Paula how “learning fast, failing fast and pivoting” helped her make her way through the dark, early days when there was little success, support or celebration for the company she was building. Liz also tells Paula why she’s a firm believer that we aren’t meant to take ourselves too seriously (Sseko means “laughter” in Lugandan)... a totally refreshing reminder, no matter what stage of business building you’re in.
