Hey, I changed some of the audio tracks. Let me know what you think! Something New: My wife and I just finished the season 2 finale of The Chosen. If you have not yet seen this series, please make a point to go back to season 1 and watch it all the way through. Dallas Jenkins and the team at Angel Studios have done an AMAZING job of bringing the story of Jesus and His followers (and non-followers) to the screen in a faithful and thought-provoking way. I'm investing in season 3. I can't not invest in this great product. I learned in seminary that art and beauty attract. The Chosen is art done well, and it is changing lives and getting people talking about Jesus Christ. Check it out, and let me know what you think. Mind of Mediocrates: I'm reading Realityland by David Koenig and Once Upon Atari by Howard Scott Warshaw. Both books have me thinking about the idea of leaving a legacy. I wonder what kind of legacy am I leaving? I don't make stuff. I don't write books (that are published). So what is my legacy? Is it my kids? If so, what does that look like? How much of what they do or become is to my credit/fault? What role do parents play and how will our legacy be judged? It's a lot to think about. Join me as I ponder it. Definitely weigh in on this one whether you're a new parent, a veteran (notice I didn't say old!) parent, or someone who has watched parents. Something Old: Thinking of leaving a legacy reminded me of Epcot and the Leave a Legacy promo they used to fill the courtyard in front of Spaceship Earth. I miss Walt Disney World when it was affordable back when I first visited in 1982. Prices have definitely gone up a little since those days (from $15 to $110), but I still love WDW. I keep telling myself one of these days I'll work for the House of Mouse and run an underground racing league for trams. THANK YOU! You really help the show get found by subscribing on your favorite podcast app. When you subscribe, leave a review, or post a rating, you not only give me feedback to make The Mediocrates Podcast better, but you also help the podcast increase its relevancy score, which allows it to be found higher in the search results than it would be otherwise. I really appreciate your help to connect the show to more men and women like yourself. When you reach out to me on Twitter @mediocratespod or via email mediocratespodcast@outlook.com you are helping me become a better person. Your stories, your prayer requests, your criticisms, all of them help me to make the show better by helping me to see things I never saw before. You help me correct myself and do better. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to share with me.
