Fasting is an initiation process of shedding the old and embracing the new; a death and a resurrection so to speak. It allows us to break free from baggage we’ve been carrying and it provides a level of self-control to exercise power over our greatest temptations and vices in life. Cleansing our mind, body, and spirit will give birth to a new life, one filled with vibrant health and peace and strength. Fasting of the body is food for the soul. It gives us power. Who wants that soul power?
