Justin B. Pitts is a seventh generation Jones Countian that is dedicated to the preservation and use of traditional Southern breeds and species of livestock, seed, and plants in his farming operation. He has founded several breed associations and serves on the board of them or in other capacities. Through his efforts several species of rare and endangered species of livestock have been added to the Ark of Taste as he believes that you have to “eat them to save them.”
