Progressive incumbent Jamaal Bowman lost his primary in NY-16 last night to Westchester County executive George Latimer. AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying group spent over $14 million to unseat Bowman, but Bryan Metzger, political reporter with Business Insider, joined us to explain how that’s not the whole story. Signs of Bowman’s vulnerability were showing before AIPAC got involved, and the makeup of his district seemed at odds with the stances he was (rightfully!) taking post October 7th. We look at the complete picture, and what we found was it’s more than just AIPAC spending.
