Look, breaking a habit is not an easy task, okay? But it is possible when you get out of your own way, you interrupt the patterns in your mind and you choose to move differently. You can break any habit or pattern, no matter how long it's been stuck in there.
In today’s Powerback® episode, I'm sharing this experiment that I've been doing: breaking the habit of scrolling mindlessly on my phone the second that I wake up. The simple act of choosing to plug it in in another room has led to some pretty interesting observations and breakthroughs.
You know how I always say, “The thing that you want the most is behind the thing that you resist the most”? In this story, I'm going to tell you how I absolutely resisted the thing I wanted the most, and now I have it.
We’ll go through:

  • Identifying & breaking a habit that’s not serving you
  • The one who motivates the motivator
  • The habit of scrolling mindlessly on my phone the second that I wake up
  • How this habit was not serving me
  • Replacing the old habit with something new
