What the Unforgivable Sin is Not (pages 50-52)
1. The unpardonable sin is not blasphemy
2. It is not a sexual sin
3. It is not suicide
What the Unforgivable Sin Is
▪ For this, I do not find his two categories (subheadings) on pages 53-56 helpful
▪ I think the full paragraph on page 58 is much better and more helpful
End with this quote from page 57:
▪ “If you are anxious that you have committed blasphemy against the Spirit, you needn’t fear that you have done
so, for such blasphemy is always accompanied by complete indifference to losing your soul. In other words, if
you are afraid you have committed this sin, we can say with great confidence that you haven’t, because your
troubled conscience is a sure testimony that you haven’t committed it.”
