Access to Burial Beer from Asheville, NC, is a rare opportunity for markets. However, thanks to Mitch, the guys had the opportunity of sampling several of their offerings.
In the first part of this two-part series, Mitch and Rich review Burial's latest pilsner, as well as the Heavy Resin edition of an exceptional IPA.
Beers we drink:
- Threads Pilsner: This 4.9% ABV pilsner is fermented with an experimental thio-maximizing yeast and hopped with Mittelfruh and Motueka hops. The precise combination of hops, fermentation and flora provides an insane dose of Welch's sparkling white grape, white raspberry gummies, Finger Lake sweet Riesling, and lemon-frosted granola. Brewed in collaboration with Okay Beer Company out of Honeoye Falls, NY.
- Savages of Ruminating Minds: With an average 4.2/5 rating on Untappd and a 93 on Beer Advocate, this 50 IBU heavy resin edition KICKS it up a notch from its original variant! Double dry hopped with Mosaic, Motueka, and Idaho 7, this beer is beaming with loads of pineapple candy, orange pulp, and blueberry kush.
