Andrew, a dad, musician and now an NDIS Support Carer, grew up in a family where he didn't feel liked. This resulted in him feeling he did not understand what his responsibility was as a father. When his son was 7 years of age, Andrew was left to support his son as a single dad. Life became confusing and overwhelming. Andrew coped by delving into his art and music. He did the best he could as a dad.
Today Andrew and his son have a good relationship connecting over his son's interests. He has grown into an adult Andrew is proud of. Andrew talks about parenting as a neurodivergent father.
