Toronto's Elizabeth Rivasplata first appeared on the popular competition series during its second season in 2012 and also returned to compete on Top Chef Canada: All Stars in 2017. She currently serves as the corporate chef for Pumpernickel's, but prior to that she worked as the executive chef for Rogers Centre–the home of the Blue Jays–for four years where she directed culinary operations that spanned everything from the casual concessions to high-end food experiences in the arena's premium suites.
Earlier this year, the talented Peruvian-Canadian chef launched Matute Sauce Co. Named after Rivasplata's grandmother, the small-batch hot sauce company draws on both her Peruvian roots and her grandmother's recipes to offer dynamic condiments that Torontonians have easily embraced.
