The Bizarre Comparison in National Polls: Trump vs. Harris
Hey folks, Earnest Mann here! It’s Friday, and time to celebrate surviving another week of enriching our obscenely wealthy overlords. I recently stumbled upon a breaking news report from NBC that managed to compare Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in national polls with a straight face. This comparison, made by a hyper corporate ass-kisser posing as a journalist, highlights the decline of real news into entertainment.
The Nonsensical Poll Comparison
The news segment had the audacity to present this comparison as though it held any real relevance. It’s akin to comparing Coke and Pepsi—interesting for a beverage choice, but absurd for political discourse. The journalist, whom I’ll refer to as Steve Coraki, displayed an over-the-top, almost comical enthusiasm. Seriously, this guy must either be paid exceptionally well or has zero professional scruples.
Real News vs. Entertainment
This brings me to a critical point: the erosion of serious journalism. When networks like NBC prioritize ratings over real news, it blurs the line between information and tabloid entertainment. This shift dumbs down the populace, making it hard to distinguish between substantial news and ridiculous entertainment. If you need a visual, watch the movie Idiocracy—we’re not far off from its depiction of future news.
The Devolution of Communication
Our ability to form meaningful relationships is hindered by the devolution of language. It’s challenging to bond when our communication is reduced to slang and technobabble. The ridiculous news report comparing Trump and Harris is a symptom of this broader issue. It's a reflection of how mainstream media is transforming news into a circus act, and the audience is losing its ability to discern the difference.
The Entertainment Agenda
NBC’s segment isn’t just a misstep; it’s part of a broader agenda to entertain rather than inform. By slowly eroding the standards of journalism over decades, media companies condition the public to accept superficial news. Imagine a future where breaking news is as ludicrous as what I just described, and you’ll see we’re on a dangerous path.
