Spread love its the...PVD way. It's interesting that so many things get talked about in business but love is not always one of them. Rarely when you hear entrepreneurs speak about what it takes to be successful is the word love a part of the conversation. This episode's guests Jason Almeida and Sabrina Chaudhary love for their city, their culture, their ideas, their friends & family, their supporters, and for eachother, became a core foundation for their creative & entrepreneural success. If you have never heard of today's guests maybe you have heard of their event production and design company Stay Silent, and it's events like Hookah Killed The Dance Floor, Luv u Better, and the Providence summer tradition that is Day Trill. Or maybe you have heard of their non-profit company for creative entrepreneurs, Trade Pop-Up. The fact of the matter is both Stay Silent and Trade are more than just businesses, they are a movement...a love movement. In this episode I talk to Jay and Sabrina about their start in event production, how they were doing social media marketing before it became a business term, how fulfulling your own needs can become a business model, the importance of trusting yourself & your ideas, putting the spotlight on the people around you rather than yourself, invisible ways your business can grow, the difficulties & importance of funding and infrastructure, what happens when personal & business life blend together, moving from a place of excitement as a strategy, and doing all of this with an energy that values acceptance and treating everyone like family. And it all started on a university campus.
