This week Pastor Brad begins a study on the Gifts of the Spirit, specifically the Gift of Wisdom. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 reveals the Spiritual Gifts available to believers (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+12%3A1-11&version=NKJV). The gifts of the Spirit are given to people to flow through them to others. 1 Corinthians 14:26 says, "How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification." This is needed in our Christian life and experience. 1 Corianthians 2:7-9 speaks of God's wisdom and how he dispenses it. The word of wisdom provides supernatural insight into what might happen. The word of wisdom gives guidance. Pastor Brad continues by teaching about the different types of wisdom; natural wisdom (Proverbs 1:8-9), satanic wisdom (James 3:13-14), and wisdom in the affairs of life (Proverbs 15:2 and Joshua 1:8). James 3:17-18 sums it up saying, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
