Annie Bowles is advocating for the release of April Wilkens, who was given a life sentence for killing her stalker in an act of self-defense. Annie is striving to bring attention to the issue of criminalized survivorship and is pushing for the passage of the Oklahoma Survivors Act. This legislation aims to help survivors of domestic violence by allowing evidence of abuse to be presented during trials to potentially reduce their sentences.
