If God is good, why is there evil?

Intellectual truth explains BUT won’t remove emotional pain

Disliking an answer doesn’t make it any less true

Genuine love requires the freedom of choice
Freedom of choice demands the dignity of consequence

Love’s freedom and dignity make evil a possible outcome

Why do we choose wrong even when our personal history proves it harms ourselves and others?

Getting the “essentials” of faith wrong sets us up to fail at what matters most in life

God is Completely Good
Humanity is Fatally Flawed
Jesus is Essential
Eternal Life is Relational not Religious

Why do we keep choosing wrong despite history’s proof that it always ends badly?

“But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts - murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person.”

Humanity is Fatally Flawed - All of humanity has a spiritual disease that leads to death that we cannot cure by ourselves

Fatally Flawed:
Born with a spiritual disease
Unavoidably “miss-the-mark” (sins)
Demand hypocritical justice

Truthfully admitting our problem isn’t about shame or guilt – It’s an honesty that allows for healing
