A graduate of Vanderbilt University, John Steele Gordon is an author and thought leader. One of his books is The Great Game: The Emergence of Wall Street as a World Power and he has also written about the economic history of the U.S. in general. One of his observations is that enormous government debts and deficits is a relatively recent phenomenon and we do not know how that will end if not reversed.
