Christian men are called to be disciples of Christ and to lead other men to do the same. In order to be effective in this calling, it is essential for men to be committed to fellowship with other men. This fellowship provides accountability and validation as they grow in their faith.

The Bible is clear that Godly men are more effective as followers of Christ when they are committed to their fellowship of other men. In the book of Proverbs, it says that “as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” (27:17). This analogy is used because just as iron is made stronger by being sharpened on a regular basis, so too are men made stronger through accountability and encouragement from other men.

Fellowship with other men also provides an important level of validation. As Christian men, we are called to a higher standard than the world around us. This can often times be discouraging, especially when we feel like we are failing. However, when we have close friends who hold us accountable and encourage us in our faith, it helps us to stay focused on our goal of becoming more like Christ.

If you are a Christian man reading this, I want to encourage you to find a group of men with whom you can fellowship. It is essential for your growth as a follower of Christ. You will be held accountable and validated as you walk out your faith with other believers.
