We are here at eTail Palm Springs and seeing and hearing the latest and greatest in e-commerce and retail. Question: Do you need to choose between AI and human recommendations as a customer? Why not have both? After all, don’t each have their strengths? AI in the retail experience is all the rage these days, but today I’m talking with someone from a brand that has been incorporating AI-personalized experiences and shopping combined with expert human recommendations for over 14 years, and continues to innovate today. Today we’re going to talk about how AI-based personalization plus human creativity and input makes an amazing customer experience at Stitch Fix. To help me discuss this topic, I’d like to welcome Noah Zamansky, Vice President of Product and Client Experience at Stitch Fix. Conversations between two out of the box thinking broads; discussing their van life, farm life, art life, learning, salty commentary on culture and more. Thought provoking and humorous.

Conversations between two out of the box thinking broads; discussing their van life, farm life, art life, learning, salty commentary on culture and more. Thought provoking and humorous.
Sarah really brings a great conversation regarding our water and specifically a presentation on a book that raised the flags on fluoride in our water a long time ago. It's widely accepted usage is actually quite a marvel given that there are no studies that still support the cavity reason behind slipping it into our water supplies. Of course the Broads found other tributaries to wade through regarding our water supply system, the power of expert blind trust and how the industrial revolution has brought us into being the age of the guinea pigs.…
Vicky Hamilton has been in the music industry spanning more than four decades. VIcky has developed, managed, or discovered many artists through the years including artists Motley Crue, Guns & Roses, Stryper, June Carter Cash, Poison & more. Currently Vicky owns her own label called Dark Spark Music that has a roster of great and diverse talents. Author of a new book of poetry called, Veiled Allusions she also authored Appetite For Dysfunction which is tales from her early days of working with Guns & Roses (they lived in her one bedroom apartment with her roommate Jennifer Perry for six months.) Appetite For Dysfunction has been picked up for a new upcoming television series. Join us in this authentic, raw three broad conversation where we discuss the music industry then and now, creativity, addictions, AI, new artists, sobriety, poetry and more. Rather a homecoming as two of these broads have nearly known each other for a very long time.…
A poignant discourse between the Two Broads on the topic of pride. A meaty and salty discussion worthy of chewing on. We recognize pride in others but perhaps we miss it in ourselves sometimes. We sure see all manner of pride in grand display all around us and along with it all of the bad side dishes it creates to go along with it.…
Well the Two Broads recorded this the day after TikTok was banned, however, as we all know, it was restored later that same day. It's a good thing we weren't just discussing TikTok. We of course had to make the conversation much more broad (pun intended). It seemed the scent of banning was in the air so we weighed in. Tune in Broad Band!…
The Two Broads are back with sorrow and salt over the most recent fire disaster still under way in California and now Baja Mexico. What are the lessons everyone should take away from all of the disasters we see? There are lessons to be sure and there will be positives that come out of the ashes to be sure but..... that's a choice. One thing is for sure, thinking for oneself has never been more required.…
Your favorite Broads reflect on getting older, greed trust issues personal challenges and giving yourself the gift of better health. Lauri discusses her 21 day journey abstaining from all sugar and grains as well as social media. All that and so much more in this wellness motivating cast from your two favorite broads. There is no self care without good health care.…
As many topics are personal for the Two Broads, in this episode they discuss body image. The illusive journey for the perfect body. Even though nobody really knows who is the judge on this arbitrary "image" of our anatomies we sure act like we do. In the meantime the quest for the perfect abs, breasts, biceps and hind sides may actually be the biggest waste of time ever. A frank discussion about an all too popular obsession. Honestly, the time has come for us to shift perspective to optimum health as a focus not purely the illusive image that few ever see anyway. Good health will go so much farther in the long run than brutal obsession over how we look. Tune in, we are salty.…
The Two Broads were in extra rare form in this coffee table convo. There is a lot of social and cultural observation and criticism in this and truly one can only listen to see if you are able to list all of the bullet points, lol, Honestly though, it seems like we have over saturated our desires for entertainment, foods, escapism, sex, shopping and more to a point that pleasure could be an enemy. Where do you go when you've exhausted how entertained you can be?…
Well, here we go; we are heading straight for the time of year that seems to bring with it the best and worst of times. The Two Broads bring their annual pre-season tips for getting into the right mindset for all of the festivities. Why? Because the stress level of so many is palpable starting around Thanksgiving and honestly, it reveals things about ourselves that could be wonderful indicators that need our attention that we may be ignoring; gaining more peace within everyday, not just around the Holidays.…
These Two Broads really enjoyed our conversation with Matt who came out of the public school "system" and once a Father realized he must do something different for his children regarding learning. He began to build what he thought learning could look like and invited everyone he knew to join in, and they did. Now Apogee learning centers are spread throughout the country. It is a great episode on lifetime learning, parenting, not accepting the status quo, building outside of the box and more. Tune in and share this important cast.…
The Two Broads were so pleased to have had Author Joseph (Jake) Klein on this episode where a very important topic was discussed. Klein's new book, Redefining Racism; How Racism Became Power + Prejudice, is a very well researched and important book bringing to light a very little known history of how anti racists movements have actually pushed culture backwards in the arena of inclusion and diversity. This book has been a six year journey and Jake shares some of his research pointing out that the way to real progress in anti racism must include being anti racist towards all. Perhaps it boils down to the truth that the real way to raise a bar is not by pushing others down but to raise the bar on oneself. Despite some short tech difficulties this is an episode to hear.…
It is past time to think that it cannot be true that the industrial food complex isn't out for us. It is naive to think the FDA would never allow harmful toxins to be in our foods. Does not everyone not yet know? There are decades of disease riddled data to show us just how far off from real food the complex of food scientists have brought us, begging the question, do we even know what real food is anymore? The Broads get fired up over this topic and one of incredible importance.... Our children, our nation, is sick. Own your own health, nobody is in your corner regarding it.…
Starting a new business? Stuck in your business? Want a successful life? Guest Brooke Lenhoff of the Entrepreneurship Center, Focus Suites joins the two broads for some foundational advise that often times gets overlooked when doing your own thing; the entrepreneur themselves. Understanding one's strengths is one such foundational building block that gets discussed today. Of course there are a lot of laughs too and some of the laughs come at the expense of this broad who damn near did die with her mic in her hand today..... unpredictable per usual, tune in! Be encouraged.…
For the first time, the Two Broads had a repeat guest on the show. Stacy Dam of Set Your Sites, joined us again after only under three months due to all of the barriers and goals she has busted down. Goals she spoke of in her first visit and boom, they happened. If you missed Stacy's first cast discussing her, "see a need, fill a need" business idea and the weird accident she had that spurred her into action, please go listen to the Set Your Sites episode back in June. We were so excited to see this lady who is fast becoming the first in a business league all her own; a pretty big deal actually. We discuss keeping motivated and taking time to acknowledge, celebrate and sit in the milestones for a minute as the journey really is everything. Also, it seemed fitting to celebrate Stacy's win with our own milestone here at Two Broad Casters as this is our 100th episode we have recorded. It won't take you long into this cast (like immediately) to see how there is zero improvement in the tech department after 100 episodes as Lauri tries to enter the show with what she thought was a sound bite of celebration and clapping sounds and well.... epic fail. Oh well, the broads are known for this type of awkwardness at this point. Tune in friends for this episode sure to encourage and make you laugh.…
The state of education is a topic that is sure to ruffle the broad's feathers. In this episode Lauri & Sarah push back against the misunderstanding of what unschooling generally really is and then it's off to the races. What ensues is a litany of amazement and grievances towards public education over the years and where it now finds us. Tune in if you like course salt.…
