×I am writing today from a pretty stressful moment in my life. My mum and I were meant to go to NZ for a mother and daughter get away. We had a 7 day cruise booked and we have been looking forward to this for months. The last few days have really been a nightmare with mum being rushed into Emergency surgery on Thursday night, and then feeling really unwell post operation, to now being the day before we were meant to leave and she is back in Emergency for the week. We’ve had to cancel our trip and are truely devastated. I honestly don’t know what I would do without my gratitude practice to be honest. Moments like this really test you, and I woke up so angry at the world, so frustrated at how unfair life has to be. I opened my journal and it was the last thing I wanted to do but I sat down and did it. It changed the narrative for me. I am so thankful mum is in Sydney for this, not stuck in the ocean on a cruise. It would of been a disaster if she was so sick on our trip. I am so grateful to live in the same city as mum and my family, and to be able to be there for her. I am so grateful for my own health and being able to go for a walk and move my body. The list really goes on and It changed my entire perspective this morning. This story leads us into the solo episode for today which is how to manage stress. This has been a top requested episode so recording it today felt really fitting! I want to preface I am no stress management professional, but these are tips and tools that have worked for me. WELCOME BACK! I am so excited for 2025, we have a lot planned for this year. I find a new year such an exciting time, it’s cleansing and an amazing opportunity to really create the life you want to create.
