Masculinity And Qualities Of The Feminine with Connor Beaton
Manage episode 359360456 series 3422630
When we are children, we absorb specific models of masculinity and what "being a man" looks like.
However, we are unconscious of it, and we reproduce patterns that tend to be harmful.
We must build a life of success, affluence, status, and power.
As a matter of fact, we have to do it by hiding aspects of ourselves that are considered weaknesses.
Bottling up emotions and hiding what's going on behind the scenes has worked for some of us. Until it backfired.
And although these experiences seem to be isolated, they are very frequent for men.
Today's guest is among the leading minds on men's work and masculinity.
Connor Beaton founded ManTalks, an international organization focused on men's wellness, success, and fulfillment.
Besides, he's a coach, a facilitator, a teacher, a podcast host, and a speaker.
His teachings are based on Jungian psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and also Buddhism.
During this episode, you will learn the importance of embracing uncertainty, listening to your inner voice, and uncovering fulfillment internally.
Hope you enjoy it. Be well.
