A highly experienced forensic anthropologist and archaeologist with hundreds of cases investigated in 8 countries with NGOs, the UN and the EU and the private sector. A specialist in the design and implementation of strategic plans to determine the fate of the Missing from conflict and non-conflict zones. Alan is highly experienced in DVI and other mass fatality incident processes and is an effective forensic intelligence complex-case analyst.
Alan has been a consultant and advisor to Cabinet Ministers, Diplomats, Heads of Mission, Judicial and Law Enforcement Officials and is a highly experienced institutional strengthening specialist. A local capacity-building veteran with a firm belief in the benefit of grass-roots and local forensic development, and a Professional Member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences as well as Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Society.
