Following multiple cases of non-compliance and exploitative hiring processes by restaurants across Gauteng, it has raised concerns around labor practices not only in the restaurant sector but the hospitality sector in general. The sector is often guilty of breaching labor laws such as hiring of illegal foreigners, unfair wages, extreme working conditions and even exploitation.
