Manage episode 376525902 series 3510033
Robin Hauser is a documentary filmmaker who has produced several widely-known and impactful films including Running for Jim, which follows a high-school cross country team as they vie for a state championship for their coach, who was diagnosed with ALS earlier that season, and Code: Debugging the Gender Gap, which looks into the current gender disparities in technology. In our conversation we talk about how Robin got into the field of filmmaking, the learning curve associated with it, and some of her strategies for making a compelling argument. Likewise she tells some powerful stories from her screenings around the world and about the the reasons behind her motivation to create these impactful documentaries. I really enjoyed listening to Robin and I know you will too. Enjoy.
