Leo Cerda (Kichwa from the community of Serena in the Ecuadorian Amazon) is at the center of global climate change and Indigenous rights conversations as the creator of the Black Indigenous Liberation Movement, a coalition of collectives, peoples, grassroots organizations, and social movements across Turtle Island and Abya Yala (North and South America) counteracting racism, discrimination, violence, colonialism, extractive industries and the ravages of racial capitalism.
