Hubert Byers nasce nel 1958 a Chicago e negli anni Ottanta si trasferirà in Sicilia precisamente a Messina dove ha vissuto sino alla prematura morte nel 2006. Nel corso di questi anni avrà modo di esporre in diverse città italiane e non solo. Alla fine degli anni ottanta Byers esporrà le sue opere a Bagheria (Pa) presso la Galleria di Ezio Pagano.
