Joy tells the story of the three British fertility pioneers who helped make IVF a reality, namely an obstetrician called Patrick Steptoe (Bill Nighy), a physiologist called Robert Edwards (James Norton) and a nurse / embryologist called Jean Purdy (McKenzie).
