In previous episodes we looked at the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. Christians believe that this event had to happen for the world to be saved from sin and reconciled to God. But is this true? And why is death, specifically the death of Jesus, necessary to accomplish this reconciliation? We will tackle this question as we examine an event just prior to the arrest of Jesus, then look at the biblical history of why this would be necessary, along with God sharing this plan throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. Finally, we will look at the results of the death of Jesus.
