Fibroids are extremely common, especially in Black and Brown women. Over half of women will develop fibroids during their childbearing years. During pregnancy, oftentimes, fibroids don't cause any symptoms at all. But sometimes during pregnancy, fibroids can increase in size so fast that they outgrow their own blood supply.
