**Dr. Barbara Kleeb**(BK): Is there a connection between

Ancient Egypt, Atlantis, and the engineering industry? Discover the engineering

perspective on ancient Egyptian art with Shane Reed. I'm the founder of

Networking Café, where I help polymaths be understood.

Shane's Educational Journey

BK: Welcome, Shane. Please share your journey.

**Shane Reid**(SR): My education began with my grandparents,

followed by school where I always got mixed signals I joined the Navy from 15

to 18, then studied engineering sciences in college before working in various

engineering industries.

BK: What kinds of engineering?

SR: Mechanical design, structural theory, electrical

controls, and power systems. I've worked in machine shops and for companies

like GM and Ford.

Researching Ancient Civilizations

BK: What are you doing now?

SR: Researching ancient civilizations' technologies. It

started with Greek myths, analysing them from an engineering perspective.

BK: For yourself or others?

SR: It’s a personal project since the industry isn’t there

anymore. If there's no job, create one.---

The Concept of Cities of Gold

BK: Describe the cities of gold.

SR: Ancient cities gathered water into dams to electroplate

structures. This process might explain the term "cities of gold."

Ancient Egyptian Technology and Electricity

BK: Did ancient Egypt have electricity?

SR: Yes, they used an engineering system involving water and

copper anodes. It’s a three-dimensional concept.

Practical Applications and Modern Implications

SR: My research involves reconstructing these technologies

to generate electricity using stone and copper, similar to electric lighters

but on a larger scale.

BK: Could this solve modern energy problems?

SR: Yes, using these principles could produce millions of

volts cheaply.

The Vision for Revitalizing Ancient Technologies

BK: Could you engineer what you found in Egypt for Canada

today?

SR: Yes, using these principles could generate large amounts

of electricity efficiently. We're spending a lot on modern technology when we

could use ancient methods effectively.

BK: What would the ideal outcome be?

SR: To get these ancient systems working again. Rebuilding

would revitalize agriculture along the Nile by managing water effectively.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts

BK: Fascinating. For more, find my Calendly link in the show

notes. Shane, can people contact you for more information?

SR: Absolutely. I'm happy to answer questions.

BK: Thank you for the

brilliant conversation.
