In episodes 5-7, The Daleks have the Fluid Link and the Doctor and crew must convince the Thals to fight back, jump across caverns, and deal with the Daleks counting down very slowly in order to save themselves and prevent Skaro from becoming a completely uninhabitable wasteland.
