John goes into detail on why they’re releasing now and what it was like working with the rest of the band in Iceland while he’s in California. Speaking about lockdown, John credits it with producing one of the most prolific years for technical metal, and then gives a breakdown of what technical metal is. Finally, speaking about his album, John says his fellow band members described the new album as the culmination of their work and that the aim of the album was to make something musical and to strike and emotional response in the listener.
