John interviews Dr. Leah Houston in this episode. Dr. Houston is an emergency medicine physician who went through a very difficult credentialing and licensing issue. After leaving Florida and allowing her license to expire, she discovered later that the hospital where she had been employed was still using her name and provider number to bill for services.

When Leah returned to Florida, she faced numerous legal challenges after being accused of practicing without a license, as a result of her former employer's actions.

Partly in response to that situation, she sought a solution to the problem of slow and poorly coordinated physician credentialing. She has now developed an approach using blockchain technology that will enable physicians to control their credentials in a highly secure manner.

Having experience as an entrepreneur in the past, she founded a new company that will harness blockchain technology to help physicians regain control over their professional identities.
