Later, Danielles discusses Mary Fields, also known as Stagecoach Mary and Black Mary. She was the first African-American female star-route mail carrier in the United States. She protected the mail from potential thieves and even scared off a pack of wolves. Known for her proclivity for hard liquor and gunfights, she was a woman ahead of her time.
