Jesus and the apostles used the name of Jesus when they prayed, yet many in the church today have taken to "pleading the blood" or believing they have to use the blood of Jesus to scare away demons. This is a ritualistic and occultic idea that has infiltrated the church. The whole idea is against the name of Jesus.
