A full-time consultant neurologist is to be appointed at Letterkenny University Hospital.

The visiting service to Letterkenny from Sligo currently in operation sees a neurologist in place two and a half days a week every fortnight

There has long been pleas for a permanent neurologist to be stationed at LUH, due to extended waiting lists for patients.
