From Mortal Kombat: Annihilation to Assassin's Creed there are no shortage of horrible video game inspired movies. Some like Super Mario Brothers and Street Fighter are so bad they are almost good. Present day however the trend seems to be changing with the launching of successful franchise in Detective Pikachu and Sonic both with sequels already in production and with Mortal Kombat added to the mix the future of video game movies seems to trending upward.
