After we published a short conversation about the Depp V Heard trial in Ep. 127, we got overwhelming feedback from listeners that you wanted us to do an episode on the verdict. Well, we aim to please. So, Ryan, Kristina, and Frank hit the pod and had a lot to say about it. Kristina especially....we recorded this episode only a few days after the verdict was announced and unfortunately, due to a technical glitch, this episode is only getting published now.
BUT! True to the Meanwhile brand, our team did their best to see all the little nuances of both sides of the conversation. None of us were Depp or Heard super fans, so we can confidently say we did our absolute best to call this down the middle. Beyond the trial, we wanted to explore what this historic case meant for the future of cancel culture. Is this the end of it, does this civil verdict set a precedent?
