Growing up without parents, Kevin was on the lookout for any nugget of wisdom to help him rise above his circumstances. After serving in the Air Force and earning a college degree, he became a high school and collegiate athletic trainer before joining the Philadelphia 76ers and becoming the third African American trainer in NBA history.
