Trump pledges to restore 'American dream' at Cobb rally

At a Cobb County campaign rally, former President Donald Trump vowed to tackle inflation, cut taxes, and deport illegal immigrants. He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, asserting she would raise taxes by letting his earlier tax cuts expire. Trump emphasized ending taxes on tips and overtime and accused Harris of being lenient on crime during her previous roles in California. Highlighting illegal immigration as a top election issue, he promised the largest deportation initiative. Trump pledged to revive U.S. manufacturing with tariffs and achieve energy independence with increased drilling. He acknowledged Gov. Brian Kemp’s hurricane response, despite past tensions, noting Kemp's current endorsement. Trump did not address abortion, an issue Democrats aim to leverage, as Harris campaigns for restoring Roe v. Wade. Trump portrayed the election as critical, declaring a mission to restore American confidence and revive the American dream.
