Patanjali explains that by controlling the body and the mind, we can move inwards and listen to the soul. It is on the meeting of the body, mind and soul that we can get peace and lead a good life without any tensions.
The method of meeting of the body, mind and soul is called Kriya Yog. In this we have to work towards making the body and mind silent. It is in the silence that they can meet the soul.
In this episode Patanjali explains the first two Yogas as the preparing ground, which concern with the controlling of the body and the mind - yam and niyam.
