Romantic comedies are a theatrical staple. They tug at our heartstrings, they make us laugh, they make us cry, they make us…cringe

We fully acknowledge that there’s a lot about rom coms that can be problematic they are most often white, super hetero-normative, and filled with tropes that teach very wrong ideas about love. And yet, even knowing all that, there are some that hold special places in our hearts.

On the first episode of Season 2 of Love Uncovered, Phil and Robyn discuss their favourite rom coms, why they stick with us, and they look at some of the issues that seem to be integral to the genre.
