His journey runs from Omaha to Chicago’s South Side, to rural Nebraska and back, always shaped by a deep commitment to justice, joy, community, and the environment. Shell lives in Omaha with his partner. Their young son, who passed away in 2021, remains a profound source of meaning in their lives.
