Chris Nowinski is a former football player at Harvard University and professional wrestler with WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. Evan Montilla, a fellow WBOR staff member, band frontman, and multi-instrumentalist joins us in the studio. He sings and plays acoustic and electric guitar, and shares his thoughts on original songwriting and family.
Nick Walker plays acoustic guitar and sings his thoughtful and introspective brand of modern, Mumford-influenced folk in the WBOR studio.
Simon Moushabeck gets funky in the WBOR studio. Simon plays keyboard and accordion and sings, as well as talks about jazz, the Beatles, and the mechanics of the Hammond Organ.
Bowdoin's soul / alt / R&B troubadour Sky C. Monaco graces the studio with his presence. Also features a brief appearance by vocalist and ukulelist Nicole Tan.
Live on WBOR's first duo hits the studio: Miranda Hall on acoustic guitar and vocals and Julian Andrews and violin. The pair plays a number of Miranda's original songs, and talks about their own independent projects.
