Matthew 9:12,13 - But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jesus spent time with the sinners and the sick. If they had not gone to Jesus, they would not have known the reason for their sickness, they would not have been healed, and they would have continued sinning. Lots of sicknesses are caused by sins. That is why after healing, He told many of them that their sins were forgiven and not to sin any more. Jesus is the best physician for everyone. That is why Jesus said that He did not come to call the righteous, but the sinners. All the sicknesses are not caused by sin. Even if the sickness is not caused by sin, Jesus will heal them. Whoever approached Jesus got healing for their sickness, forgiveness for their sins, happiness in their hearts and faith in God. It is possible today also through the Holy Spirit. We can become physicians like Jesus too. Also, the message emphasizes that a sacrifice without keeping loyalty to others and God is not acceptable to God.
