Honoring Your Grief: The Journey of Loss and Healing
Manage episode 419618960 series 3560759
Grief is so intertwined with so many parts of our life that it can get lost in the day to day. It impacts us in such a way that we often, without really knowing why, are just getting by. Be patient with yourselves, and others. The grieving process has no timeline. Some losses you will process and move through within a few weeks. Other losses will stay with you for a long time, many years in some cases.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Ways to move through the grieving process:
- Acknowledge your pain.
- Accept that grief can trigger many different and unexpected emotions.
- Understand that your grieving process will be unique to you.
- Seek out face-to-face support from people who care about you.
- Support yourself emotionally by taking care of yourself physically.
- Recognize the difference between grief and depression.
