Growing up in Yugoslavia during a time of war, Dr. Maja experienced unimaginable hardships and challenges that shaped her into the person she is today. After transferring to Austria, Dr. Maja faced new struggles as she adapted to a new culture and language. She opens up about her struggles with survivor’s guilt. Through her journey, she learned valuable lessons about resilience, empathy, and the importance of community.
