211. Part 1-Back to the Basics in 2024!! Remembering what, why and who we believe in!

We need to get back to the basics and remember what we believe and who we believe in!

So basics for you today

1. Jesus is our savior. We just celebrated Him all christmas…He came as a baby…the savior of the world! And soon we will celebrate His resurrection!
2. He came to save us and to give us freedom!
3. He left us with the HOly spirit who is here to be our guide…but we have to learn how to listen, hear and be lead by Him!

So the two things I wanted to talk about today was this

1. Delight in the Lord!
   1. Ps 37:4- Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart
   2. 
      
   3. Ps 119:33-40- Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.
2. We have to KNOW God and be known by Him to really understand His goodness, intentions and be able to walk out His calling
3. John 10:14-15- I am a good shepherd, i know my sheep and my sheep know me- just as teh Father knows me and I knwo the father- and I lay down my life for the sheep. Vs 27 my sheep listen to my voice, i know them and they follow me.

5. 1 corinthians 8:3- But whoever loves God is known by God
6. Need to spend time with Him to understand this fully! The more we do the better we understand his intentions and can hear his direction!
7. Devote ourselves to Him!
8. 
   
9. We need to believe in the calling his has given us(sharing His goodness with those around us) and affirm the person He has called us to be. We are the hardest on ourselves and the enemy knows he can keep us in teh same place if we can keep us questioning our abilities etc.
   1. GOD is bigger and can use us in our weaknesses!! Isn’t this amazing. We don’t have to have all the answers or know what the next step is. We just need to trust God and keep living for HIm. and let Him do all the heavy lifting!!
   2. Speaking life over ourselves and giving him glory through all circumstances!
   3. Making a choice to follow him FULLY. NOt wishy washy. But to choose to make space for Him in your life and include Him in your day. To get plugged into a church and let your family be part of church community. To choose to honor Him with your life and devote your days to Him!
   4. It’s exciting to release the control and trust Him!
