Patrick Crane is a 28-year technology industry veteran, helping build businesses and brands on three continents, currently serving as Chief Experience Officer for OpenSolar.
Patrick started his career at Vodafone In 1995. He then joined Yahoo! in 2003, leading various marketing divisions. In 2007, he joined LinkedIn as Chief Marketing Officer, leading marketing and communications for four of LinkedIn’s hyper-growth years, helping LinkedIn expand around the world and become a multi-billion-dollar public company.
Patrick then co-founded Sungevity, a leading residential solar company and now in addition to his CXO role at OpenSolar, he advises young companies disrupting the energy market with clean technologies.
Patrick serves as Board Chair of Empowered by Light, a 501c3 non-profit that donates solar technologies to communities on the front lines of climate change and habitat destruction. He also co-founded the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust in 1996 to fund research into teenage cancer.
