The Prologue Notes

This news podcast was produced for NPR and Slate applications. I decided to cover an emerging news story and to give it the historical context that is often lacking in television reporting. The major difficulty was deciding which events to summarize and how short of a summary should they be. In my reporting I tried to go for an unbiased tone, such as calling the Houthi an armed group rather than a terrorist group or a freedom fighter group.
