In the first half of this episode, we explore the wider historical context in which the rest of our story is nested, taking a look at the Russian Revolution, the rise of the Soviet Union, and the opening phases of the Cold War. In the second half, we return to von Braun and his team as they make landfall in the US and begin to work on new projects that will pave the way for space flight.
